Great result and a much need increase of lux levels for the Nick Nairn kitchen at DOUBLETREE BY HILTON DUNBLANE HYDRO.

PLS were contacted by the owners to survey the full site of the Hydro to include service areas and commercial kitchens. Lux levels were lower than expected from the existing mixture of fluorescent and LED tubes already fitted. Although some LED conversion work had been carried out, it was the wrong type of fitting for the specific area and new LED scheme was proposed.

All staff who work in these areas were 100% satisfied with the new LED lighting and commented that it was a more enjoyable experience working there since the new lights had been fitted.

The installed product was the ‘Luce Series’ (specification sheet) which comes as standard with IP65, IK08 ratings which are vital for this type of work space. The 50w version was proposed in this instance which replaced the aging twin tube fluorescent cases and because of this the ROI on this project was less than a year.
